Pro Evolution Soccer 2011

September 8, 2010 · Filed Under News, Simulator, Sport · Comment

PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2011 is here and will bring digital soccer to the next level.

Central to the heart and soul of PES 2011 is the idea of freedom of play. This freedom invigorates the series with the most advanced set of gamplay improvements ever attempted by the Winning Eleven Production team, coupled with the greatest stride in new content. The result will be a game that allows total control over every element of play – even online – to give the most lifelike soccer experience next to actually putting on a uniform and taking the field.

Key Features:

  • Total Control: PES Productions has enhanced the 360-degree passing ratio, offering unprecedented levels of control over every pass, shot, throw-in, through ball and lofted through balls. Users can pass the ball into space, and move their play with total freedom. Players must precisely weight their passes and second-guess the runs of their team-mates and exploit their movement. Players even can apply pressure on opponents to force them off the ball.
  • Shot & Stamina Gauge: In addition to the generic power gauge, the Shot & Stamina meter details the player’s exact level of fitness. Constantly sprinting will have an adverse affect on performance and statistics.
  • New Defender AI: Defenders now hold their positions naturally, instead of chasing balls that enter their area and work to close down the attacker to force mistakes. Read more launches Heroic Sports Football

Set in 2030, new football game combines strategy with star players and weapons for futuristic game play experience
Players must arm their teams for “do or die” battles to win the All World Championship

3RD Sense, which operates the successful play platform, and develops games and online apps for consumers and innovative brands worldwide,  announced the release of Heroic Sports Football – a new, fast-paced fantasy football game.

Heroic Sports Football is set in the year 2030, in a time when football has evolved significantly. Football has become an audience event and players now compete against each other with whatever it takes to win, using star players and weapons to overcome their opposition with a mix of strategy and violence.

Players must develop a team of football rookies, then set up a football club, before taking on the greatest teams the world has to offer including Heroes United, Real Violencia and Holy Citadel.

The game is a classic sports tale of underdogs and underhand tactics, where players aim to take their team to the ultimate football competition, the All World Championship.

Players can enjoy the following exciting game features:
• Build your own Club: Players select a team of seven players, including a fully customisable ‘Star Player’ and design their own team logo and club colours
• Play on seven different field types including Grass, Metal, Ice and Lunar
• Compete against 50 teams through five divisions – from the hapless Sunday Park League to the All World Championships
• Trade players, manage salaries and arm your team with everything from battle-axes and centurion helmets to army boots and flak-jackets
• Collect on-field power ups and dodge hazards such as spiked pits and toxic sludge.

The game is available from for around US $20.00.

Oliver Joyce, Creator and Designer of Heroic Sports Football for 3RD Sense:
“With very few rules, on field fatalities and quick, hectic matches, Heroic Sports Football is the remedy against stat-heavy, lumbering football simulations. It’s football the way it should be played – pure, brutal and just plain fun.”

“We hope that players will enjoy the breadth of Heroic Sports Football which challenges players in all aspects of football, including ball play on the field as well as the strategy of trading players, managing salaries and arming your team for do or die battles!”

In a massive coup for the both the Glenn Hoddle Academy and Sports Interactive, it now forms part of the huge database of licensed clubs and leagues featured in the game. Since its outset, Glenn has maintained his vision for the Academy and this is further proof of its existence as an alternative to the professional club system

Football Manager 2010 will feature all players at the Glenn Hoddle Academy Club, the world’s first fully independent, professional football development centre, designed to work with players released from topflight clubs, who would otherwise be lost to the game. The Academy gives talented players a second chance at becoming a professional in real life and you’ll also be able to sign them for your Football Manager 2010 club.

Glenn Hoddle commented, “To have the Glenn Hoddle Academy Club in Football Manager 2010 is fantastic. We have been working hard with the team at Football Manager to make this happen and we are delighted to be the first professional football development centre in the world to become part of the ever expanding game”

Glenn Hoddle further added that, “Our players are all talented professionals, released initially from senior clubs across Europe. They spend time developing their skills in Spain and they play regular fixtures against senior European opposition, including Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid, on a regular basis. To have our squad included in Football Manager 2010 alongside their peers in the professional game, as part of this season’s new features, will I am sure add a new dimension for the game.”

“We’re really excited to have the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Football Manager 2010”, said Miles Jacobson, studio director at Sports Interactive. “What he’s doing with the academy is fantastic for football, and anything that is good for football is good for our games”.

With Football Manager 2009 being voted the second best game of all time and clocking up 22 weeks at the No.1 spot in the UK PC charts, Football Manager 2010 promises to be the best one yet.

The game’s developer, Sports Interactive, has listened to the Football Manager community and fans to improve all aspects of the game. There are some big additions to improve the ease of use, navigation and feedback from the game with the brand new match tactics system, the debut of a Match Analysis tool, a completely new look and new User Interface among other features. And with improved in-game graphics, the 3D match view provides the most realistic match experience yet.

Football Manager™ 2010 for PC and Apple Macintosh will be released on October 30th.

Innovative mix of freestyle street basketball and strategic team management

Online PC game portal GameKiss launched its new game, Freestyle Manager, following the success of Freestyle Street Basketball.

Freestyle Manager, a new addition to the GameKiss Freestyle brand, reinterprets the entertainment qualities of the existing Freestyle Street Basketball and adds more fun to its current basketball teams. MLB Dugout Heroes – Updated to mark what’s apparently the hottest month in baseball

October 5, 2009 · Filed Under News, Sim, Simulator, Sport · Comment

New Enhancements To Include Console Style Menu, Enhanced Minor League And Bench System, Team Logo Bonuses And The All-New Dodger Stadium!

To celebrate the hottest month in baseball, GamesCampus will introduce tons of new content changes coinciding with the Fall Classic in its popular online baseball game – MLB Dugout Heroes. Among the new features are a new console style menu, a minor league system, an enhanced bench system, new team logo bonuses and a brand-new stadium.

Both new and current players can check out the new features at starting this Thursday, October 8th.

Dodger Stadium
The newest stadium in MLB Dugout Heroes is here! Dodger Stadium has been the home ballpark of Major League Baseball’s Los Angeles Dodgers team since 1962. Dodger Stadium is currently the third oldest ballpark, and one of the biggest in Major League Baseball, behind Fenway Park in Boston and Wrigley Field in Chicago!

New Console Style Menu

The new Console Style Menu layout is more common to players who are familiar with console style presentation. Console sports games use this vertical style option with a portion of the screen dedicated to individuals who are great ambassadors for the respective sport.

Minor League System
The Minor League System makes a smooth transition from retirement to replacement. The new Minor League System allows players to groom their players of the future while using their present players. Players can assign up to nine pitchers in the Minor Leagues, up to three per concentration: Balanced, Flame Thrower (Increased Fastball Growth Rate) and Finesse Pitcher (Increased Breaking Ball Growth Rate).

Players may assign up to twelve Minor League Batters in the Minor Leagues, up to three per focus: Balanced, Power (Increased Power Growth Rate), Accuracy (Increased Bat Growth Rate), Run (Increased Run Growth Rate).

Enhanced Bench System
Players can ensure their bench players are doing more than just growing old on the bench. They can customize the way each player earns EXP and all Bench Pitchers have only one type of growth rate. All the Pitchers in the designated slots will receive 80% of pitchers’ default EXP.

Bench Batters have the option of selecting one of five growth types; Power, Bat, Run, Throw, or Defense. Batters in the designed slots will receive 80% EXP of the following positions; 4th Batter in Lineup (Power), 3rd Batter in Lineup (Bat), 1st Batter in Lineup (Run), Catcher (Throw), or Shortstop (Defense).

Team Logo Bonus
Using the Special Team Logo, players will receive a bonus for the amount of past players of a specific team they have in their lineup. User’s who recruit past players of their favorite teams – using the new Team Specific Draftcards – will receive bonus stats for having those players in their lineup.

PES 2010: Major additions confirmed for further realism

August 20, 2009 · Filed Under News, Sim, Simulator, Sport · Comment

Konami unveils new 360-degree control system, and more key gameplay advances determined by fan requests

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced that PES 2010 will benefit from 360-degree control and further elevating the unrivalled realism of the title.

The announcement comes following Konami’s close contact with the global network of PES and football fans, who have played a key role in the development of the new game. Via forums and feedback, the PES Productions team in Tokyo has canvassed opinion on elements fans hoped to see included in PES 2010, and 360-degree control was part of the long list.

360-degree control will be available on both the PLAYSTATION®3, Xbox 360 and PC-DVD versions of the game via the analogue sticks on the respective controllers. The system will allow players to spread the ball with ease, opening up new attacking and defensive possibilities. PLAYSTATION®3 owners will also benefit when using the Dual Shock’s D-Pad, but Xbox 360 and Win D-Pads are limited to eight-directional control due to technical limitations of the hardware.

PES 2010

Konami has also confirmed a number of similarly crowd-pleasing elements as requested by the fan base, including:

Manual Goalkeepers: PES 2010 will be the only football title to offer users complete control of the keeper. Players can switch to their goalkeeper at any time, and will enjoy total control of his actions.

New Goalkeeper Moves: Players can now perform quick under-arm throws to their nearest defender to get attacks rolling more quickly.

All-New Animation: Key animation related to dribbling, running, turning, etc, has been reworked and enhanced, creating a more natural and organic feel to the way players chase down balls, change direction and move around the pitch. The result is a more fluid and natural look to the game.

Fine-tuned Close Control: The PES Productions team has worked to improve trapping of the ball and basic close control elements, giving the user more ways to spread and move the ball around effortlessly.

Manual Ball Request: The ability to demand the ball when running into space is now available to the player, and will be accessible in all game modes, such as multi-player, online, etc.

Simpler Skills: Moves such as feints, drag backs and upper body feints can be applied more naturally when taking on or trying to beat an opponent. The PES series has long been associated with clever flicks and tricks, and PES 2010 will boast the most to date.

“The PES community has been an incredible asset in the development of PES 2010, and we can finally lift the lid on the many requests the team has been able to meet,” explained Naoya Hatsumi, Producer for PES Productions at Konami Digital Entertainment Japan. “We have strived to make the system work and coupled with the new AI and player elements in the game, it helps make PES 2010 a much richer and more realistic experience.”

“We cannot thank the PES community enough for their unerring support and constant stream of ideas,” commented Jon Murphy, PES European Team Leader. “They have offered a non-stop list of elements and options that has given the team so much to think about. As anyone can see, we are committed to making such things happen, and the addition of 360-degree control and extras such as the manual goalkeepers, being able to demand the ball, and all-new animation shows that the PES team are determined to make PES 2010 the greatest football title imaginable.”

PES 2010 will be released for PLAYSTATION®3, Xbox 360, PC-DVD, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable), PlayStation®2, Wii and mobile phones in the autumn.
