Gateshead, UK, Free-to-play online racing game Auto Club Revolution, has added a new racing dynamic to its tracks; wet conditions.
With the roads now wet, the soaked conditions bring a whole new dimension to the game, offering challenges to both new players and veterans alike. Players will be putting their racing skills and reactions to the test with the option to speed through the urban settings and licensed circuits in the slick wet setting. Wet kerbs and grass will prove hazardous and players will have to re-evaluate the risks of gaining these precious few seconds.
Not only adding to the gameplay, the damp tracks also provide a new atmospheric style Racing with limited visibility and reduced grip, players will have to keep their eyes on the road while taking in the distinctive new visuals.

Gameforge AG announced that in February 2013, the much-loved fantasy MMO TERA will be switching from the former subscription model to free-to-play. Korean developer Bluehole Studio already announced this switch in December. Now Gameforge follows suit as publisher of the European game version.

TERA goes free-to-play
The free-to-play model of TERA will have two base account types: the free user and the veteran.
The free user will be able to charge into adventure for free and will receive complete access to the entirety of TERA’s game content. This includes the races, classes, instances, equipment items and player versus player content for example, but also unique features such as the political system. Limitations exist for free users merely in the form of functional option restrictions, such as the number of character slots or the number of safe deposits available. Read more

Ubisoft announced that Might & Magic Duel of Champions, the Might & Magic online free-to-play card game, is now available on Windows PC and will arrive in October for iPad. Every European player can access the game, in English, French, German or Polish.
Might & Magic Duel of Champions is being developed by Ubisoft Quebec and includes hundreds of new, detailed, collectible cards all set in the Might & Magic universe. As players develop their skills and strategies, they’ll be pitted against each other in epic battles and be challenged to earn new cards and grow the strength and abilities of their chosen hero’s army. Players also can enhance their experience and replenish their card supply by visiting the game’s online store.

Wargaming.net, the award-winning game publisher and developer, today announced that its highly anticipated free-to-play MMO title World of Warplanes has taken to the skies for its closed beta, inviting players to experience an expanded amount of in-game content, including new warplanes, maps and other features.
Eligible closed beta pilots in Europe, North America and Russia will be able to get into the cockpit and take control of the skies with four warplane classes, including fighters, ground-attack planes, heavy fighters and carrier-based aircraft spanning 59 different warplanes from Germany, the United States and the U.S.S.R.
Across four unique maps, pilots can unleash devastation on their competition with new weaponry, including bombs and rockets, and against new ground targets such as anti-aircraft guns. New players can also take part in an in-game tutorial to polish their skills.
Wargaming.net plans to actively recruit pilots during the entirety of the closed beta to further incorporate player feedback and better improve the gameplay. Read more

The mentoring system in Allods Online allows characters over level 30 to form a special bond with any newly created, non-reincarnated character over level 6 and the entire process is managed within the game’s UI. Mentors will receive a range of rewards, including a commission of the gold and loot earned by their apprentices, based on the amount of time a player spends mentoring their apprentice.
