World Basketball Manager Tycoon is Available for Download

Icehole games announced the release of the latest addition to its successful World Basketball Manager game series. WBM Tycoon is a completely new game mode that lets player become the owner of a basketball club and lead it to glory.

In classic WBM game the user creates his profile and starts his international career as the Manager of a basketball club, trying to become the best manager in the world.
But in WBM Tycoon the user is not only the Manager, but also the Club Owner and the Financial Manager, and he gets to create a new basketball franchise in any country he wants or take control of an existing one.

As the Club Owner the user must generate (or loan) the necessary funds in order to expand the club’s facilities, raise the financial level and improve the team’s roster in order to win titles.

And as he remains the Manager, he is still in charge of the Player’s training program and when the match day comes, he will have to select the team lineup, create the most appropriate strategy and find the way to victory by countering the opposing manager’s plans. Read more

PES 2013: Champions League and Europa League licenses extended for another season

Konami Digital Entertainment announced it has extended its exclusive agreement with UEFA for the use of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League competitions in its Pro Evolution Soccer series.

The publisher has also bolstered various licences for use within its forthcoming PES 2013 title, with the Spanish league licensed in its entirety, while all the clubs from Italy’s highest league are also included.

KONAMI has also sourced individual agreements with Manchester United, Bayern Munich, FC Porto, AEK Athens, Galatasaray Istanbul, Shahktar Donetsk, FC Kopenhagen, Zenit St Petersburg, CSKA Moscow, RSC Anderlecht, Dinamo Kyiv and Dinamo Zagreb among many others. Overall, 150 licensed teams are now available, with 17 more licensed national squads added, including the likes of England, Italy, Germany and France. Details on additional licences will follow. Fan Debate and Social Media Campaigns Help Drive More Than 250,000 Fan Votes During Three-Week Facebook Contest

EA SPORTS announced that Rickie Fowler and Rory McIlroy have been selected by the fans to join Tiger Woods on the cover of Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 13 in North America and Europe, respectively. Their victories come on the heels of a three week voting contest that sparked debates amongst golf enthusiasts and campaigning by the world’s top golfers through their personal social media channels. During the final week of voting, Rickie Fowler defeated Bubba Watson by a final margin of 52% to 48% to win the American side of the bracket in the Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 13 Match Play cover vote, while Rory McIlroy defeated Luke Donald by a final margin of 54% to 46%  to win the European side.

Similar to previous EA SPORTS cover athlete votes for Madden NFL and NCAA Football, community reaction to the Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 13 Match Play cover vote was overwhelmingly positive for providing fans an opportunity to decide who they think should be on the cover.  Showing tremendous enthusiasm and engagement throughout the three week contest, fans cast more than 250,000 votes from over 35 countries around the world.

FreeStyle Unveils Customized Contents for Global Game Users

In commemoration of the second anniversary of its launch, MMO basketball game FreeStyle, a popular game provided by a global game portal, GameKiss, added a new special character to its team members. The update is an outcome of full accommodation of opinions suggested through forums in the Website of FreeStyle.

Unlike existing special characters, the new special character ‘Garcia’ allows users to decide its position and height as they wish. And exclusive items for ‘Garcia’ will also be updated, satisfying thirst of users of GameKiss who have been demanding to have customized special characters.
