Life as a Pirate Detailed in Conquer Online’s Upcoming Expansion

As one of the longest-running MMOs of eight years, Conquer Online continues to deliver new content to its players.

In the newest upcoming expansion, “Invasion of Pirates,” players will be able to fill the shoes of the new Pirate class, adventuring in what’s known as forbidden domain—the Flaming Sea.

But to walk and talk like a pirate, players must know the proper garb and weapons they can arm themselves with. NetDragon unveils the cannon bomb ability, pistols and more to players awaiting the new Invasion of Pirates storyline.

EverQuest II is now free-to-play

Sony Online Entertainment announced that massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) EverQuestII(EQII) is now free-to-play.

All PC users will be able to freely download, install and launch the game without charge. Available free content includes the base game and all expansions up to and including EverQuest II Sentinel’s Fate  as well as the brand new Freeport Reborn game update. The game’s eighth overall expansion – Age of Discovery – is also now available for purchase as a digital download, and introduces the fan-favorite Beastlord class and Dungeon Maker feature!

Runes of Magic content update: Patch 4.0.5 Souls of the Past

Frogster released the new Runes of Magic content update, Patch 4.0.5 – Souls of the Past.

The update opens the gate to a new raid dungeon, the Tomb of the Seven Heroes, which challenges groups of up to twelve players to a heated battle with seven menacing bosses. Also released, the latest RoM-Cast episode shows these formidable foes locked in combat with a group of well equipped players, showing off the new level cap of 70.

A Little Lore
The once mighty heroes of Taborea are in dire need of help. Players are already familiar with the history of these noble heroes, which began in The Elder Kingdoms, and now they actually have the chance to face them in harrowing combat. The legendary heroes proved their battle prowess in coming to the aid of King Kalume during the Great Banishment of the demons. Alas, their souls and swords are now under the control of the demon Sismond, who is using them as undead bodyguards. Players are called upon to defeat the entranced heroes and release them from Sismond’s evil spell. Read more

CrimeCraft GangWars Expansion set for December 5 Launch

Vogster Online has announced that GangWars, the second major expansion to the free-to-play online shooter CrimeCraft will launch on December 5.

Vogster also released a trailer (www.youtu.be/Q5H0qNIFSZ4) showing off the new Territory Wars feature that pits the player-run gangs of CrimeCraft in combat for control of the lobbies and battle zones of Sunrise City. Last Chaos Biggest Content Update Since 2009

Aeria Games released one of the biggest content patches for its popular MMORPG, Last Chaos.

The new content patch is the largest since 2009, and allows players to access a new zone as part of the level cap raise from 165 to 175. This massive content patch also comes with a re-imagined dungeon, an increased skill level and new gear.

New content included in this content patch:
New Zone – The new zone, “Tarian, the frozen Tundra,” is open to players who are at or near the level cap. This new zone contains monsters all the way up to level 175 and is in a snow map that prominently features a frozen lake, a dark tower and several new and re-imagined monsters.
Level Cap Raise – Players can now level up from 165 to 175, the first level cap raise since 2009. The level cap increase comes complete with new gear, new monsters, extended skills, new quests, and a brand new zone. Read more

Open Beta Paves the Way to New Mid-Level Dungeons, Weapons, and Overhauled Drop System

For countless hours hundreds of players have been engaged in the Open Beta of Flyff V18: Renaissance. Soon their shared experiences will pay off as Flyff prepares for the expansion’s official release on November 21st! New mid-level dungeons, weapons, and a completely overhauled drop system await those ready to take flight once again!

The community’s response to the open beta has been tremendous.  New players and long-time veterans have scoured the game, experiencing more than 100 new quests and dozens of new items.  Players from around the world helped iron out bugs and test the myriad of possibilities in Flyff’s new and improved features.  The resulting developments have helped Flyff usher in an early release of the expansion.

With the beta players also got their chance at previewing the long anticipated mid-level content of Flyff’s new dungeons.  The three new dungeons, including the Royal Freighters, have been carefully designed to provide content for mid-level Flyffers yearning for more action. Epic battles for control of gilded ships against the vicious Silverwing Duchess is available to all mid-level adventurers, as are the quests that will help recapture the vessels and valuable weaponry from her perilous minions.

The rewards in these dungeons will also be suitably adapted for mid-level fighters as well, thanks to the newly overhauled Drop System.   Monsters everywhere will drop items scaled according to their difficulty, helping everyone achieve the armor and weaponry they have been longing for. World of Tanks to Roll into Retail Stores August 31

Interactive Gaming Software has announced that the boxed retail version of highly popular free-to-play MMO game World of Tanks will be available on sale at all major retail chains and independents as of August 31, 2011.

The online version of World of Tanks, created and managed by Wargaming.net, has been played by more than 5 million people, also has more than 130,000 fans on Facebook.   On a some days, more than 170,000 users have been playing the game. The retail version of World of Tanks is expected to be extremely popular with users.

The special boxed edition of the game will be available for a suggested retail price of only $19.99.  In addition to including the entire game itself, purchasers will also receive a bonus of $30 of in-game items, including a premium account, game credits, gold, and an upgraded tank.
