Closed Beta Sign-Up Begins for Realm of the Titans

February 2, 2011 · Filed Under Beta, News · Comment

Aeria Games has officially begun Closed Beta (CB) registration for its upcoming DotA-inspired multiplayer title, Realm of the Titans (ROTT).

Players can visit the newly-launched teaser website at http://realmofthetitans.aeriagames.com and sign up for a chance to participate in an early sneak peek of the game.

Realm of the Titans is a bold, new take on the popular action strategy genre. In ROTT, two teams of up to five heroes face off on a dangerous and dynamic battlefield in an attempt to take total control of the map. As each team advances across the field of combat, they seize control points that spawn waves of NPC minions to assist them in the conflict. Players who perform well in battle are awarded points that can be used during the match to upgrade their hero’s powers and abilities. The game is meticulously designed to reward teamwork and tactics, and encourage fluid and fast-paced competitive gameplay.

Apart from offering players dynamic battlefields, enhanced item purchasing, and the return of key DotA features, ROTT also includes:

· In-Depth Ranking Features – Level up in the game while making your way up the leaderboards by defeating higher-ranked players.
· Advanced Matchmaking System – In ROTT, you can automatically be matched up with other suitable partners and competitors.
· Robust Statistics & Record Tracking – Battle data and match history is saved on the server. Players can review their past performances and share favorite replays with friends.

For more information, or to be among the first to sign up for the upcoming CB testing period, visit the official Realm of the Titans website (http://realmofthetitans.aeriagames.com). Players selected to participate will receive more information about the test when CB begins in Q2 of this year.

Tales of Pirates II closed beta news

August 12, 2010 · Filed Under Beta, News · Comment

Tales of Pirates II is making a splash with players in Closed Beta. Pirates around the world can experience the joy of sailing into uncharted waters and battling against many formidable foes in search of lost treasures. While any pirate can demonstrate his might by using brute force against his foes, what sets the great ones apart is their inner strength. This will be put to the ultimate test in the game’s new instance, the Tribulation of Faith.

Tribulation of Faith
Courageous pirates who set out on this spiritual pilgrimage will journey to the plane of their inner soul. There they must face their greatest fears. Wave after wave of monsters from their own psyche will attack until the seeds of darkness and self-doubt planted in the pirates’ souls are overcome. This is no task for the faint of heart.

A Skeleton in the Closet
At the beginning of the instance, a horde of hideous monsters spawns. Players must defeat them quickly, because a new wave of evil creatures will appear every 100 seconds whether the earlier ones have been eliminated or not. As the waves mount, the resulting chaos can overwhelm the most powerful pirates. Even successful pirates can succumb when faced with so little time to rest. During the 10th and 20th waves, the pirates will come face to face with two of their greatest nightmares. If they survive long enough, they will finally meet the seed of evil in their soul, the skeleton in their closet, in the 25th and final wave. Read more

King of Kings 3 conquers North America

March 9, 2010 · Filed Under Beta, MMO, News, Online · Comment

Epic battles, sprawling cities, and warring kingdoms locked in a never-ending struggle for power. King of Kings 3, the newest instalment of the popular Taiwanese MMORPG series, is considered one of the best releases of 2009 and captivates millions of players in Asia. In addition to holding the European publishing rights, gamigo is proud to announce that it now holds the North American license for the game.

“As a globally-focused publisher, our aim is to be able to offer our games in all key markets,” says Patrick Streppel, member of gamigo’s executive board. “King of Kings 3 is one of the highlights of our portfolio. The emphasis of the game is on PvP battle and the extensive guild features, such as the building of guild towns and guild warfare, are unparalleled in the realm of free-to-play gaming.”

The game’s developing studio, Lager, and gamigo have been working hard the past year to localise the game for Western markets. The plot of the game has been completely rewritten and the seven fantasy realms are based on medieval powers, giving players from Europe and North America the opportunity to go into battle for their nation. A complete re-balancing reduces grinding and now allows players to reach the highlights of the game, PvP and guild gameplay, more quickly.

Thanks to the game’s complex and multilayered guild system, guilds band together first to form legions, next kingdoms, and finally alliances to wage war against enemy kingdoms and territories. Up to 10,000 players compete simultaneously in truly epic RvR battles to determine the fate of the guild towns and realms. Only the bravest warrior will come out on top and become the ruler of the entire realm, the fabled King of Kings.

King of Kings 3 is expected to go into Closed Beta testing in the second quarter of 2010. To participate in Closed Beta testing, visit the game’s official website: http://kok3.gamigo.com

Changchun 2

February 26, 2010 · Filed Under Beta, MMO, News, Online · Comment

WeMade unveiled three new Massively Multiplayer Role-Playing Games (MMORPG) at Gstar 2009: NED, Changchun, Zwei Online. Amongst three highly-anticipated games, Changchun kicks off a Closed Beta test (CBT) first.

Changchun2 is a hybrid between targeting and non-targeting system and maximized game control in MMORPG. Using non-targeting system, a player can attack multiple enemies at the same time if they are within attackable area. A majority of monsters move together in the game to make one vs. many combat possible.

Changchun 2 demands a high level of game control from users because a user can attack others yet effectively defend at the same time if s/he controls a character in a right way. This will satisfy high level users in the targeting system. Because of that, fighting multiple monsters in Changchun 2 provides the best of entertainment and thrill in a unique way.

In Changchun 2, character classes including Magician, Swordman, Blademan all have unique powers. PvP contents and Hero Spawn will be added to the game later on.
